Wondering how to prepare for when things promise to get a bit locl? Check out the following advice!
Shower Wipes
Dancing and being outside equals getting dirty and sweaty. Shower wipes or moist towelettes are an easy way to clean up and refresh no matter where you are.
Extra Set of Clothing
Spills, dirt, sweat, etc., all add up to an extra set of clothes being a good investment. It doesn’t have to be the most elaborate but for the long music festival, additional clothing is a good thing to pack. Fun items can have a place in the ongoing party. You might want to browse for a sexy bodystocking. Lingerie can double as lightweight clothing at a music festival where less is more.Water Bottle
If you have to fight the crowd to get water, you are a lot less likely to drink enough to keep properly hydrated. Keep a water bottle with you and make sure you refill on bathroom runs so that you don’t miss any of the action.
Keep Essential Items With You
Get a bag and keep all the things you absolutely need in it and with you at all times. A bag that fits tight and across your body is more pickpocket-proof than a traditional fanny pack. Never leave wallets, credit cards, or other important items at your campsite. If something is stolen from your tent, it is highly unlikely that you will be able to get it back.
Only Pack the Basics
Less is more at a festival. You don’t want to spend the festival worried about your possessions. Don’t bring your best tent or designer items. While most people are not out to attend festivals to steal, it can happen; the nicer and more expensive your setup seems, the more likely you are to be a target for thieves.
On to the Festival!
While there are countless music festivals to choose from, some are known throughout the world. Here are a few music festivals that will give you the experience of a lifetime.
Bonnaroo, Tennessee, US
Located on a 700-acre farm in Manchester, Tennessee, this festival boasts a diverse lineup and hip vibe. Be prepared for water slides, a hippie atmosphere, and good times. Lasting four days, this is a festival that everyone should attend at least once for some down-home fun.
INmusic, Zagreb, Croatia
If getting dirty at a festival isn’t your idea of fun, INmusic offers some pretty nice perks. With Wi-Fi and hot showers at camping areas, this festival is a bit more comfortable for some festivalgoers. With the capacity for only 25,000 festivalgoers, this is not a mega-festival by any stretch of the imagination. Top acts along with the beautiful mountain and lake scenery make for an unforgettable experience.
Summerfest, Wisconsin, US
For the hardcore festivalgoer, the 11-day Summerfest can make for a great vacation. The festival takes place along the shore of a large lake that boasts an array of activities. Many musical styles are showcased, so there is sure to be something for everyone.
